I purchased a Norris home from Clayton of rogersville. I would not recommend them to anyone. They fill u full of bullcrap. I started the process and i mean process in January 2016. We took the lot model bc we were told it would b 6 months before we could get one built. Funny thing as soon as ours was pulled off lot they had one exactly like mine to go back in it's place. We closed the first of February, i was told by the salesman that they could have us in the home in a week, weather permitting. Well it took a MONTH. I had to call to see when they would b coming to dig footers and set the home. When they come to dig the footers they was here til after dark trying to get done, these people were very professional and polite. They did leave a mess though, torn my beautiful yard up. I had to call the lot to see when they were going to bring my home. At the time i called thet had not disassembled it on the lot. Took several days to get it here. The company that brought it was NOT PROFESSIONAL. The fussed and cussed the whole time they were here. They tore my electric and cable lines down. Not real happy by then with lot and it only gets worse. The yard by the time they got finish was a lot worse than before. I had to call to get underpinning done, called to get porched done, called to get electric done, heat pump, ect u get to gist. Before we moved in there was a leak in the roof bc someone forgot to plug a hole. Leak in my den through a light. They never checked to see if it did any damage, for all i know i have black mold growing in my ceiling. When i was finally able to move in i had to call several times to get the check for my furniture, it took me calling and throwing a cuss fit to finally getting it. It took 3 monthes to get keys for the doors and then they didn't work on all the doors, they ended up putting new locks on all the doors. The problem now 10 monthes later is, when we did a walk through with salesman i was promised a new front door. After talking with lot, clayton home office and Norris homes i was told i would b getting a new door. I was told it would take a week for them to get one and install it. That was 3 monthes ago, guess what still no new door. Before Christmas the service guys came with a door, WRONG ONE. Told it would b another week to get one. STILL NO DOOR. Everytime wind blows it whistles around door where it doesn't fit right. I WOULD NOT recommend this lot to my worst enemy. Watch out. Feel sorry for other people who have dealt with this lot, know what they are going through. I love my home not the salesman.
The home was set up quickly but the work wasn't quality work one side of home has good air flow on the heat and AC the other side has about half the air flow.the trim is sticking out past doors so you can bump them walking through causing them to be knocked off or broke .Water pressure is very weak and was not before new home was set my porch is uneven in places the post they set for my hand rails have mounds of concrete around them instead of being level as should be.the roof over my porch is very noticeable where they connected to roof line and when on top of roof inspecting work I see spots of tar covering nails that should never have been exposed if done properly also a rafter in kitchen floor is bowed upward leaving Small hump in floor.when setting my home which had a single widebmobile home there before and we installed a larger double wide they dug all kinds of rocks and mud up telling me they weren't paid to remove excess dirt and rocks away need less to say my yard is completely unleval now and full of rocks still waiting for fix from lot so I can install side walk and sew grass seed so I'm basically living in a mud hole and it made for a horrible Xmas with family tracking mud in and out of my house I feel if they pay subcontractor they should do quality work because they sure didn't give discount pricing on work I would have done much better to pick my own contactors to do the work properly all and all I believe I would check with Titan direct on Lee highway instead any Clayton dealer because of bad experience
We started the home buying process with Clayton Homes in Rogersville at the end of August 2016. Needless to say it has been an utter nightmare. We sold a beautiful custom built home to be close to my husbands work and decided to have a Norris home built and went through Clayton Homes in Rogersville. We spent just as much on this home as our custom built home. We were not able to actually move into our home until the middle of November. It's been a month now and our heating unit blows cold air. Our yard is a complete and udder muddy mess. We still don't have our driveway done, our carport done, our stone on the bottom of our home done. I do not recommend going there I have never been through a home buying process like this before and have purchased 3 homes prior to this one.
